Policies + Frequently Asked Questions
First Time Clients, where do I start?
Welcome to Core Collective Pilates—we’re so glad you’re here! Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or returning after time away, we have a place for you.
If you’re interested in Reformer Pilates, we recommend starting with any of our All Levels classes. These classes are designed to introduce you to the equipment, movement fundamentals, and flow of class in a supportive, approachable way. Our instructors offer clear guidance and modifications so you can feel confident while building strength, stability, and familiarity with Pilates from day one.
If you’re curious about our Mat Room, we suggest starting with Sculpt Pilates—a dynamic, low-impact class that blends Pilates principles with strength training and is great for all levels. We also offer heated mat classes, which are a great way to build endurance and focus while getting a good sweat!
How far in advance can I book classes?
The class schedule opens two weeks advance, giving you plenty of time to plan your workouts! Members receive a 4 day early booking window. Be sure to book early, as classes fill quickly!

Injury, Modifications & Pregnancy
Your safety and comfort are our highest priorities. Pilates is a versatile practice, but not every modification can be fully accommodated in a group class. Our instructors are happy to provide general guidance and adjustments, but some situations require a more personalized approach to ensure proper form and prevent injury.
While Pilates is for every body, group classes may not always be the best fit for every client at every moment. Participants should be able to safely move to and from equipment, sit upright independently, and manage adjustments like spring tension with ease. Lying down on the carriage is only safe when the springs are properly set, so please follow instructor guidance.
If you have an injury, limitation, or any specific concern, please let your instructor know before class begins. In many cases, private sessions provide the safest and most effective way to work on your goals while addressing individual needs.
Pregnancy is no exception—Pilates can be an excellent way to stay strong, mobile, and supported during this special time. Some modifications are possible in group classes, but private prenatal sessions allow for fully tailored guidance and are highly recommended. Always consult your doctor before participating, and reach out to us so we can help you find the best option.
At Core Collective Pilates, our mission is to help every client move safely, confidently, and with care, whether in a group or private setting.
Do you offer refunds for unused classes or class packs?
We do not offer refunds for drop-ins, class packs, or memberships. All purchases are non-refundable.
What if I purchase a class pack or drop-in and can’t use it before it expires?
We understand that travel plans and vacations come up, especially in our coastal community. However, all class packs have set expiration dates, and we are unable to extend or refund unused classes once they expire. We recommend booking ahead and checking expiration dates before purchase.
How does the Waitlist work?
Our waitlist is fully automated to give everyone a fair chance at open spots. Here’s how it works:
- When someone cancels a reservation, the first person on the waitlist is automatically enrolled in the class. You’ll receive both an email and a text notifying you that you’ve made it off the waitlist.
- If a cancellation happens less than 2 hours before class, you’ll need to accept the spot via email rather than being auto-enrolled. We know this can be tricky, especially for early morning classes, but it ensures that open spots go to people who are ready and able to attend.
Important: Waitlist spots move quickly! If you waitlist yourself, please plan to attend if you’re offered a spot—this helps us keep classes running smoothly for everyone.
